Saba
Juliana's Hotel and Sea Saba
March 6 - 13, 2027
Tucked into the Dutch Caribbean, Saba is a hidden gem that feels worlds away from the ordinary. This tiny, 5-square-mile island rises dramatically from the sea, crowned by its volcanic peak, Mount Scenery—the highest point in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Your adventure begins with an unforgettable landing at Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport, home to the shortest commercial runway in the world. From there, enjoy a scenic transfer (included) up the lush hillside to Juliana's Hotel in the charming village of Windwardside—your base for relaxation and exploration.
Located in the heart of Windwardside, you’re just a short stroll from the island’s best restaurants, cozy cafés, local shops, grocery stores, and even the museum, Juliana’s Hotel boasts the perfect location. Whether dining on property at Tropics Café or wandering into the village for local fare, you’ll quickly fall into the relaxed, laid-back charm that defines true island life.
Established in 1987, the Saba National Marine Park, together with the Saba Conservation Foundation, has protected Saba’s coastal waters through marine conservation efforts and maintained moorings that help preserve its thriving reefs. Your diving adventure will be hosted by Chad Nuttall and Katy Nuttall, owners of Sea Saba. Their fleet of three custom dive boats is designed for comfort, safety, and stability, allowing access to a greater variety of dive sites even when seas are heavier. With more than 30 permanently moored dive sites located just minutes from the harbor, Saba offers an incredible range of underwater experiences. Explore dramatic drop-offs and walls, stunning seamounts and pinnacles, healthy gradual sloping reefs, fascinating muck diving, and a coral nursery where citizen scientists can get involved. From shallow reefs to deeper sites, Saba provides exciting diving for every experience and comfort level. Expect encounters with unusual critters, large fish, turtles, sharks, and abundant marine life on every dive.
During topside afternoons, Saba’s emerald landscape invites exploration. Hike through rainforest trails to panoramic viewpoints, climb the famous “Ladder” carved into the cliffs, or summit Mount Scenery through misty cloud forest. The island’s creative spirit also shines through its local artistry. Browse handcrafted goods, visit studios, and even try your hand at traditional glass bead making, a uniquely Saban craft passed down through generations.
Why travel and only dive for 1 week? Combine this trip with our trip to St. Eustatius, simply known as "Statia". Live it up at the Golden Rock Dive & Nature Resort recently awarded a prestitgious Michelin Key. Expand your diving to include historic wrecks including the second largest wreck in the Caribbean, the Charles L. Brown. Statia is also known as a macro diver's destination. Statia is the perfect extension to a trip to Saba.
Beneath the surface, Saba is spectacular. Designated as the Saba National Marine Park in 1987, the island’s surrounding waters are pristine and teeming with life. Divers are treated to vibrant reefs filled with abundant fish, frequent encounters with a thriving sea turtle population, and dramatic underwater volcanic pinnacles that rise from the depths like submerged cathedrals.

Sea Saba, the island’s premier dive operator, elevates the experience even further. Known for their highly professional crew, small group sizes, and seamless valet-style service, Sea Saba makes every dive effortless and enjoyable. Their custom dive boats are purpose-built for comfort and efficiency, and their experienced guides know these waters intimately. Explore a search for macro life tucked into the reef or take in the grandeur of Saba’s iconic pinnacles. With top-tier service, exceptional safety standards, and a genuine passion for the marine environment, Sea Saba consistently delivers a world-class diving experience.
