  • 21k (mandatory) – 16.2 miles*
  • Magdalena Toll – 7.8 miles
  • Santa Ana – 78 miles
  • Benjamin Hill – 97 miles
  • Circle K/Pemex – 132 miles
  • Hermosillo Toll – 165 miles
  • Pemex** (southern side of Hermosillo) â€“ 183 miles
  • Pemex (at turn-off to Bahia Kino) â€“ 232 miles
  • Pemex (24 miles from where you get back on 15 from by-pass)

* Miles are from the Circle K in Nogales, according to Google Maps.

** There are three Pemex stations as you leave Hermosillo. Leader must define.

• Stops will be limited to gas and restroom breaks. Open Water students are scheduled to do a Friday dive so they must be at location by 2:00pm.

• Bathrooms usually cost $10 pesos to use.

• Good idea to have your own TP.

GAS INFO

Gas Info

  • Gas sales are no longer regulated in Mexico
  • Prices can very. Border areas tend to be cheaper.
  • Expect to pay about $1.60/liter. (~$6.10/gallon)
  • Gas is sold in two octanes:
  • Magna: Lower is green (verde)—cheaper
  • Premium: Higher is red (roja)—expensive
  • Diesel is available, price is about the same as gas.
  • Only service attendants can pump gas.
  • Do not bring gas into Mexico.
